We just got back from a great weekend in Bahia Honda where we camped and Key West. The total trip from Friday through Sunday was 630 miles and we camped along the Atlantic Ocean side in an Ocean front spot. We also visited the Hemingway House in Key West, Mel Fisher Museum and visited a craft fair.
We stopped in the Everglades at the Big Cypress National Park and saw a bunch of alligators running wild (we have a short movie of one). We had a great time and have posted some pics here.
We will be heading to the Keys next weekend for a fun bike ride. Kati and I will be staying at Bahia Honda State Park and camping. Bahia Honda has waterfront campsites, was featured in this months Mens Journal magazine as a great escape and about 40 miles north of Key West at mile marker 37 on Highway 1.
There is some great snorkeling, kayaking and fishing at Bahia Honda. We also will drive down to key west to visit the Hemingway house (havent been there for like 7 years and Kati has never been there) and Mel Fishers Museum.
We are planning on leaving on the bikes on Friday morning. It is about 300 miles to Bahia Honda. Saturday we will be in Key West for the day and Sunday we think we might go snorkeling and then head back for the long ride home. Should be a fun trip especially on the bikes and camping next to the ocean.
We will post some pics on here for all to see.

We have booked all the hotels and hired a car for when we are in Peru in May. We have bought the tickets for Machu Piccu and Hwayna Piccu which should entail a whole day of hiking and over 11000 feet. Some areas quite dangerous. If you check the video section we have uploaded a couple of videos from others that outline where we will be hiking and exploring. We are getting ready and over the next couple of months, working out and trying to get ready for the altitude.
We also will be exploring some Inca Trails from Cuzco to Machu Picchu that have many ruins and sites that are still pretty close to how they were during the time of the Inca's.
Michael and Kati started this online travel journal mostly for our friends and family. Also, we hope this is an inspiration for those that love to travel and want to explore the world. If you ever see us, just say hi, as we love to meet new people, explore new places and learn about new cultures.
