It has been so long since we have updated our blog....almost 5 years. In that time we have traveled 6,000 miles to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons in our camper, flew to the arctic and saw Polar Bears, went to the arctic again and saw the Northern Lights. We have ventured to Egypt and explored the Pyramids, Abu Simbel, the Valley of the Kings and a whole lot more. We have explored Idaho and gone to Glacier National Park and Waterston National Park in Canada. We have bought a piece of land in Western North Carolina to eventually build our mountain get-away vacation cabin. We even have waterfalls on our property.
We have dug for dinosaur bones in Montana, searched for Diamonds in Arkansas and spent Christmas holiday in Sweden and went back to Yellowstone for our third time but in the winter.
It has been a great 5 years since we have last undated this and plan on keeping this up to date.
Talk to you soon.....
We got back from the Canadian Rockies and just loved it. We fell in love with the wildness, the air, and the beauty. It was tough to come back to real life. Go to our Canadian page to see our of our pics.
We are heading to the Canadian Rockies this Friday. Hopefully will be doing some dog sledding, hiking and just enjoying the beauty of Banff and Jasper National Park and the other parks around the Glacier Highway. We are very excited to go.
3 days, 1200 miles (565 miles the longest day), pulled over by police twice (Kati for going 93 mph around Tampa, me blowing through a stop light next to a police car in Ocala, FL), meeting Kevin Costner (Kati's dream), touring around the Low Country and Charleston, SC, and having fun and a great short adventure....
Climbing pyramids, swimming in underground sink holes, exploring Mayan ruins, playing in the Caribbean and enjoying our fake honeymoon. We had a great time in Mexico. Click here to visit our travel page or go to Destinations and click on the Mexico link.
On January 15 though the 19, 2014, we will be heading to the Mayan Riviera. We plan on seeing on Chichen Itza and Tulum archaeological sites as well as Kayak and snorkel in an underground cave and sink hole. Here is a picture of where we are going to explore the Mayan culture.....AND we probably will spend a day on the beach.....
Here is a picture of part of the underground river we will be snorkeling and kayaking in. This is in the jungle, not far from Tulum along the coast.
We have not updated our blog in awhile. We did get back from a great trip to Austria and Germany with a quick stop in Paris. We have posted our photos and a run down of our trip. We saw Hallstatt, stayed on a mountain top in a hut, attended a Mozart Concert in the Vienna State Opera House, spent an afternoon boating on a beautiful alpine lake, hiked, motorcycled through the Bavarian forest and spent alot of time with family. It was a great trip and you can check out all of pics here.
Though it seems that we just got back to the US, we are leaving for Austria and Germany. We will be staying in Hallstatt, Vienna and Sandburg in Austria and also going to Kati's sisters house near Munich. What is on the schedule? We are going to be riding motorcycles through the black forest, visiting with some dinosaur collectors that are opening a museum in Austria, celebrating Kati's parents anniversary and just exploring. Here is a photo of Hallstatt where we will be staying the first night:
We have completed our Peru page and have uploaded all of our photos. We will have the video of our climb to Huayna Picchu tonight. Check it out and we hope you find it interesting. We hope our fiends and family get a sense of how our trip was....

Michael and Kati started this online travel journal mostly for our friends and family. Also, we hope this is an inspiration for those that love to travel and want to explore the world. If you ever see us, just say hi, as we love to meet new people, explore new places and learn about new cultures.
